City College of San Francisco or just CCSF is a public 2-year community college and has accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The college has evolved into a multicultural, multi-campus community college that is one of the largest in the United States since its founding in 1935. It offers courses in more than fifty academic programs and over one hundred occupational disciplines. There is a full range of credit courses that lead to the Associates of Science and Art degrees and most of them meet the general education requirements for transfer to a 4-year universities and colleges. Such associate degrees as Business, Computer Science, Fashion, Engineering and more are granted in academic programs, as well as Women’s studies. The College’s Honor Program provides students an enhanced educational experience along with potential transfer and scholarship benefits. It employs 815 full-time and 1035 part-time faculty, ninety-five percent of whom have master’s degrees and nearly 250 holding doctorates.
